I'm done trying to be a filmmaker... No matter how hard I try, I feel like nothing ever turns out the way I intended.
APRIL FOOLS!... Oh wait, it's a bit late for an April fools joke.
Would a "just kidding" be fine?
Hello again my delicious readers. Sorry for the cruel joke, but if you really knew the true David R. Westphal I would never give up on film making/ moving pictures.
Also, I'm done with Broken (which turned out pretty darn good). Right now I'm in the DVD phase, trying to schedule Tiffany (awesome friend/ Photographer), Brandon (lead actor), and Erica Raimi (Graphic Designer) to get a finished product.
If you are interested in owning a copy of Broken, please contact me at dwestee@gmail.com, and I'll hand one off to you :)
Side note: Since I've been finished with Broken I've been writing two other films, and creating a concept for a third.
1st. "It Was For Science", an adaption from a Andrew Dalton short story. Thank you Dalton.
2nd. "Untitled Comedy", Right now I'm trying to find the perfect name for this one.
3rd. "One Last Time-working title" A story of one man decent into the world of drugs.
So, be looking for those in future posts.

Also, it seems that I have forgotten how to upload videos onto my Blog.
If you know how PLEASE TELL ME!

I really want to win
Just a quick update on Broken. It's taken me a lot longer than expected. The original plan/ time to film was two weeks. It's been about a month and I still need to shoot four more scenes, BUT fate is on my side.
The SLCC film festival's due date was yesterday.... or was it!? It turns out that Channing (my film teacher) asked if they can extend it for another two weeks! Huzza, I say :)
Let me remind you, first place...$500
and I really want to win....

Sorry.
I'm quickly apologizing for not updating my Blog, but you (my dearest of all readers) must understand, I've been quite the busy bee.
For the past THREE weeks, I've been filming Broken (aka Project Moon Tears). How's it looking, you may ask. It's looking great!
But one problem. I want to submit this into the SLCC film fest, which is on March 11th!
So I ask you, please send me your good lucks, wishes, and hopes.

More evidence proving that this is my year... I hope.
Hello once again my beloved readers. Let me just jump right into it. This year has been quite kind to your fellow story teller.
Once again, you're asking, "(sigh) David, what are you talking about?"
I'll tell you my adorable, lovly, and needed readers. I've got work. YES, work. It may seem small, but it diffenatly puts a grin on my face. I've got work being a stage hand and filming weddings. Ok, so it's not that mind blowing, but there is more!
MORE?
I'm now going back to school. (Hold for applause) I've also recently talked to my teacher about my up and coming project (Moon Tears) and he's acctualy very interested and is willing to help in any way, shap, or form.
I've also been writting this nice little piece for the class, that I'm hoping to enter into the next Mountian Alm's monthly lottery. Who know's maybe the SLCC film festival. Only time will know.
But enough about me. How are you?
Love

2010... my year?
Hello and greetings my faithful readers. For some time now I have been looking up into the night sky and wondering, "With this new decade finally here, will it be my year to shine as a movie maker?"
So far, yes. Just four days into the new year and I've already won first place on mountainalms.com. I'm not saying it's a great accomplishment, but it fills my heart with hope. Maybe I can do something this year that wont only be seen, but appreciated.
In other news "Project Moon Tears" will start principal photography within the next 2 or 3 weeks.
But enough of that.
Here is my short film "Wish" winner of Mountain Alms, The Centennial Lottery.

Another Project...already?
Tis a joke my fellow readers, I'm sorry to you and myself. I haven't made a project in some time now. BUT, it isn't because this bald filmmakers lazy. I've been working on a larger project. This has also been the longest time I've been in pre-production, dating September to now. The filming should take place during Mid January 2010.
Now, you're asking yourself, "David, what is this project?"
That, my dear readers is a bit of a secret. Although, I'll release some set photo's and a teaser because who would want to see that =P
This project shall be called Moon Tears.
